HSC 2008 SUCCESS
Once again Blakehurst High School students and teachers are to be congratulated for excellent HSC results.
Some highlights:
Top UAI - Charles LAM - 99.85
20% of students in top 10% of state ( UAI's above 90)
50% of International students in top 10% and 30 offered University places
2nd in State - Melina Atsas -Extension Greek
3rd in State - Melina Atsas - Modern Greek continuers
Steven Teng - awarded University of Sydney scholarship
David Choe - major work for Industrial Arts selected for INTECH exhibition June 2009
Best performing comprehensive school (public or private) in Maths in St George and Sutherland shires.
Best performing comprehensive school in St George shire.
104 University offers - from 152 students who sat for the HSC 75% - (state average - 40%)
Whilst these achievements are outstanding we are equally proud of those many students who achieved their best and have secured traineeships and apprenticeships as a result. Blakehurst High School is proud to serve all of our diverse population of students and assist them to achieve the best possible outcomes.
